Hello. My name is Luchae and I am tired. Well, besides for the fact that my body still needs to rest after fighting that crazy throat infection; my babe is teething (it’s the back teeth and she is so not happy) and it seems that everyone and their dog has decided to take leave at work. Because of that and many other factors, I’ve chosen not to bore you with the extreme details of what I’d give to get a good night’s sleep right now. #ECMeetUp: It actually happened! (&pics to prove it)

Have you ever played back a recording of yourself and felt like you have absolutely no friends, because none of your current ones told you that when you speak, you sound like someone who is on cheap, recreational drugs? Well that happened to me the other day while I was doing a little video experiment to check out if the new Pampers Premium Care nappy (which was launched yesterday) is as amazing as I’ve heard it is. You guys know how my spreadsheet brain works – I want to see things for myself! So I was pretty excited to test these new super absorbent nappies out – with the help of my wonderful, curly, assistant, of corse. Mother’s Day may be a day for spoils and pampers but I often find myself taking a moment to reflect on the type of mother I am to my kideos and the legacy I am leaving behind for them and my grandkids. Will they remember how much I love chicken? Will they invent and name a chicken dish after me? Must all my thoughts revolve around food? You know, things like that (and a couple of other deeper ones too). -
How my ToyToggle conquered a throwing toddler {Review}
So this child of mine has decided that she likes to throw stuff. I’m serious. Bottles, books, toys, bowls, shoes, my cellphone, nothing is spared. Toddler’s find cause-and-effect experimenting especially delightful hence the constant dropping and bouncing of items. But come on, it’s the 21st century, surely there is SOMETHING a modern mom like myself can do to prevent having to dig around under the bed every time her favorite sippy cup goes missing?! Where’s my batman utility belt when I need it?! -
Nail Art: DIY scribbled nails
This past week was a crazy one. Hubstopher was sick, and you know how it goes when the man of the house does not feel well. We walked around on tippy toes and only spoke in whispers too each other… I mean, we couldn’t allow our foot steps and voices to influence the intensity of his man-flu! Anyways, things are back to normal (the Lord only gives you what you can handle and all that) and I could finally remove the polish from my nails on Sunday night after staring at the horrible chipped mess that it was, for far too long. I hate when my nails look unkept. Anyways, I spotted really cool nail art on Juanita and Michelles blogs last week and thought I have to try it out! They’ve dubbed it “scribbled nails” and it pretty much means that the design gives the impression of doodling. -
Is my Tommee Tippee sippy cup safe?
When it comes to social media, it takes me a while to believe the hype about some things. Like, for instance, did they really find a mermaid off the coast of Spain? Like, for real? And these baltic amber beads – what witchcraft is this?! Show me proof! I want to see for myself! So when I started hearing stories that Curlys beloved Tommee Tippee sippy cup is no longer safe to use, I had to investigate! I breastfed my girl for as long as I could and found the Tommee Tippee Closer To Nature bottles to be top notch, as she switched from boob to bottle. I mean, you can’t go wrong with Tommee Tippees!

Creative journaling with the Inspire Bible {Review}
I love Easter time. I love that we get to celebrate the life of Jesus and how this period acknowledges his life and death to be real and not some fictitious story, made up and put into a book. There are so many cool ways you could celebrate this time with your kideos. I’ve recently spent some time celebrating with my Inspire Bible but I know many people opt for Easter egg hunts and chocolate parties (and hey, I love chocolate yo!). This is one of those times where I can’t wait for my girl to be a bit older so that I could explore the other ways of celebrating the cross. -

So as the 14th of May draws closer (yes, I am aware that it’s still March) Elle and I excitedly prep for our very first (and soon to be annual) Eastern Cape bloggers get together.
